Simantics: Winter Wilds

Remember that OTHER Sebastian Hodgins? Well here he is. Cute, huh?

Leah summons Dylan to go to Snowflake Day.

Argh. This is the ONLY way to pass a baby from one adult sim to another. Here Leah puts Dylan down. That lump under the snow is the baby.

Here Charles picks him up. I had to do this so that Leah could go perform with Sky and Adam.

Air guitar was a big thing during Charles and Veronica’s last trip to Egypt.

There’s never a bad place to air guitar.

Charles shares another “special connection” with the mummies he fights.

Here Charles complains that he can’t woohoo with Veronica because Veronica is in the way.

A rather interesting collection of loot in one of the tombs Charles raided.

And our final post-vacation mashup.

This is a kind of bittersweet goofiness, since Charles died the next day.

Hunter hung out with Grim after Ghost died, but somehow Sky was the one who ended up friends with him.

And here Cyclone beautifies the lawn.

Town Update:

Raquel Sword, Lynn Sword’s young adult daughter with her mysterious late husband, came to Avalon from parts unknown and moved in with her mom and brother.

Lynn Sword, now an elder, at last found lasting love with the recently widowed Dr. Sebastian Hodgins. When Sebastian began showing up to work looking a bit heavier than usual, he sheepishly admitted that because Lynn was now past her fertile years, he was carrying their child.

Leah and Mizuki’s younger brother Raen Mai married his high school sweetheart Mitchell Bachelor (Bella’s love child with Hank Goddard). The two are now eagerly expecting their first child.

(Yes, I finally got male pregnancy working in the new StoryProgression caste system. Why do you ask?)

Also new to town is Charlotte Stemple. She immigrated from China to Avalon because of its reputation for accepting strange sims. She says she never knew who her father was, but her silver skintone indicates that he had ghost blood.

Ali Mentary-Hodgins had a brief but intense fling with February Callender.

January and Matt Callender-Doctor, our vampire sweethearts, finally got married. I’m sure their vampire child appreciates it.

Mulberry Marmalade is engaged to Adelina James.

Love is in the air for Dragonwife Bard and Jian Wu! Jian is the son of Zane Wu (Zahn’s elfish “nephew”) and a Cambodian sim Jorani. I have a picture in here somewhere of just how hot this sim is, but I don’t have it handy. I’ll post it sometime later when it’s totally inappropriate. Let’s just say that Dragonwife scored.

Nemo Hodgins got back together with his cougar Gala Marmalade. Then broke up again.

Simantics: An Essay on Wrongness in Pictures

This collection of Simantics pretty much speaks for itself.

———-

The ghost in the attraction notification was Connor Frio Sample, btw. Just in case you didn’t recognize him.

I have some twisted desire to move Charles’s immaculately conceived (and I swear — I was there the whole time) World Adventures love child to Avalon under a different name.

Town Update:

Hendrick James, an elder divorcee with three kids, proposed to Echo Weaver and she said yes! Two days later he dumped her to marry a different girl. StoryProgression just hates Echo.

OTOH, Zuzu and David Weaver-Doctor had another kid, this one a boy named Dexter.

Jeanette Crumplebottom took a ride on the Anton train.

The younger generation is starting to get some action. Alice Bookabet and Ignacio Butterfield-Callender are an item.

Emma Voss married her highschool sweetheart, a simbin sim named Veltig Lorien.

Alexandria Berg and Blackberry Marmalade (both teens) are in an intense relationship.

Cherimoya Marmalade is dating Clifton Mentary-Hodgins.

William Pierce and Beatrice Saunders had a girl named Adriana.

Eliana Baerwyn’s father Robbin, who was widowed from his beloved wife last update, has taken up with Valerie Ursine-Mentary. Poor Valerie likes them old, which means she’ll probably be widowed again.

In a move that shocked everyone, Jeanna Yo formerly-Crumplebottom and Miyuki Mai eloped as soon as Miyuki graduated from highschool. A small social bomb went off at the Crumplebottom estate. Jeanette, the presumptive heir to the Crumplebottom estate, never got along with her stepmother. She got on even less with her half-sister Holly. When Miyuki moved in to Chateau Crumplebottom, Jeanette moved out. Jeanna did have the political foresight to take Miyuki’s name and also change the names of her two daughters with Shanni, Renee and Holly, so that there is no ambiguity about the line of inheritance of the Crumplebottom fortune. Still, Garry is now the only Crumplebottom living at Chateau Crumplebottom.

In a move that shocked no one, vampire January Callender married her vampire paramour Matt Doctor. The two have been living together since about four sim-days after the move to Avalon and have at least one child together.

Simantics: Romance, flowers, and bad routing

This is the most AWESOME TOILET IN TOWN.

Doc U Mentary had quite a life going for himself in Avalon. In addition to his wife Valerie and affair with Toya, apparently he was also getting some action with Jeanette Crumplebottom.

Huh. All of those are unelvish Sample extended family that I brought over from Sunset Valley. I guess we know what U’s type was.

Just… ARGH. That is all.

This is a colorful if creepy sim stackup. This is Becky Mentary-Hodgins (left) and Emma Voss (right).

Leah autonomously gives Sky flowers in an alternate universe where I am hunting for bad CC.

Oh yeah, and there’s something wrong with the routing to the treehouse. Leah and Sky never did manage to woohoo there. Sky kept insisting that she couldn’t woohoo there with Leah because Leah was in the way.

Town Update:

Appropo of kind of nothing, I never mentioned the triplets’ graduation awards. Sky was voted Most Likely to Save the World. Forest was voted Most Likely to Take Over the World. Hunter was voted Most Likely to Burn Down His Own House. Poor Hunter.

Oh, and Leah was voted Most Likely to Get Married.

Huh. Alberto was seen out on the town with Ali Mentary-Hodgins. That better not get back to Ada, or she’ll take it out on him in some totally nonsensical way that will leave him just as dead.

February Callender took up with celebrity simalike Amy Winter, but it didn’t last long. February has also taken on a side business as a local fix-it.

Arma Mentary-Hodgins proposed to Dawn Saunders. You know, younger sister of the town Slayer Beatrice Saunders.

Bereaved widow Valerie Ursine-Mentary gave birth to a son named Sherman.

Jeanna and Shanni Crumplebottom’s eldest daughter Renee, who is now a teenager, has been seen out hand-in-hand with Freddy Cagley.

Simantics: Sims vs. Solid Objects

Messy bathrooms, the best place for deep conversations since Sims 1.

Here we meet January Callender-Doctor, creature of the night, and her new baby.

Here’s her husband, Matt Callender-Doctor, also a creature of the night. I’m pretty sure they have the same sire, though it’s possible that January turned Matt.

I think he’s a pretty good likeness, even after elfification.

Here’s Freddy Cagley, son of Morand and Bella Bachelor Cagley. I think he’ll be a looker to watch for.

Here’s our elfified Asriel Bookabet, even more a golden child here in Avalon. I aged him up immediately after this.

Charles is appreciating his ninja music box (a gift from Veronica I forgot to post about), turned backwards, standing the middle of a counter. Ah, ghost sims.

Now, Ceridwen Bookabet does not have the excuse of being a ghost.

Maybe this is the real reason that U signed off.

Apparently, Forest even bored himself to sleep at graduation. Everyone was apparently pleased that he shut up.

Town Update:

Nemo Hodgins and Gala Marmalade got a divorce. Then he dated a simbin sim named Melia Lorien and split up with her. Now he has forgotten Gala and is spending all his time stalking Melia.

Nemo’s a Hopeless Romantic, isn’t he? I don’t know if he came to the game with that trait or got it on age-up, but as far as I can tell, StoryProgression interprets “Hopeless Romantic” as “Hopeless Psychotic.” This is why my poor simself Echo has such a drama-filled life in every save I place her.

Sorry, DragonWife, Nemo doesn’t seem to be doing any better in my game :).

Garry Crumplebottom (Shanni’s younger child with Agnes) started dating Arya when they were both in high school. He graduated first, and as soon as Arya graduated, he proposed. They seem to be pretty happy.

Anita Bookabet is dating Mulberry Marmalady

Zhan Wu proposed to Lynn Sw0rd, and she said yes! Then he died.

Wu, you didn’t give me any babies! Good think your newphew/clone Zane is handling that job with style. In fact, Zane and the Cambodian sim I married him to are making the prettiest kids in the game, I think.

DragonWife Bard moved to town, got a job at the film studio (an up-and-coming actress, I see!) She also adopted a cat named Tigger.

Zuzu and David Weaver-Doctor had a son named Maxwell. My emotionally balanced simself is doing pretty well.

Echo Weaver took a ride on the love train that is Anton Pierce, but fell off quickly. (Anton Pierce = Angel from Buffy, and he has Commitment Issues. Why a Hopeless Romantic hooked up with Commitment Issues, only Twallan knows.)

Spock Leonard dumped Joanne Bookabet, and now she’s stalking him.

Meanwhile, Spock moved on and is now seriously involved with February Callender.

Brenna Ursine-Sample keeps sending Hunter love letters and naughty looks, which is just creepy.

After U’s death, Valerie jumped on the Anton train. Maybe it helped her get over U.

Simantics: Zombie Simantics

We’ll begin with a bit of an introduction to cross pollinated sims around town.

Here’s Lynn Sword and Hector. Lynn has had a long day.

Arma Mentary being trained in Sim Fu by our Slayer, Beatrice Saunders.

Doc U. Mentary, who got old. Considering how things turned out for him in his own story, this is news.

Lara and Alan Berg are a very happy family in this game with two children. The eldest is Alexandra, and I don’t remember who the baby boy is.

February Callender out to dinner with her vampiric mother January.

Sebastian Hodgins and his little boy Cliffton.

And sims being sims —

Zahra can’t set personal limits, even in death.

During Avalon’s first full moon, only one zombie appeared. Guess who? And what plans does she have for poor Charles?

She shambled toward Charles but got distracted by the Sim Fu dummy. Charles shrugged and gave her a private training session.

Town Update:

Emma got pantsed at the assembly.

Echo Weaver proposed to boyfriend Ace Wilde. He accepted, then apparently found out that she was still stalking her ex-boyfriend Zhan Wu and dumped her.

Wu, otoh, while complaining constantly of Echo stalking him, has finally moved on and is going steady with Lynn Sword.

Doc U. Mentary had a few dates with Valerie Ursine and then set his sights on her much more mature, widowed half-sister Toya Ursine-Sample.

Maya and Charmaine Ursine-Langerak had a boy named Lionel. Their relationship is still rocky, but they’re still together.

Alan and Lara Berg gave birth to their second child, a boy named Eloy. Lara immediately got knocked up again.

Nemo Hodgins grew up to YA and almost immediately started going steady with Gala Kandy Marmalade. After a short, intense courtship, they were married.

Zuzu and David Weaver-Doctor are in a close match with Ada and Alberto Sample-Royale and Franco and Ceridwen Bookabet for the most sickeningly cute couple in Avalon. At least one of my simselves is happy.

Joanne Bookabet (I decided to make her Ceridwen’s sister because a lot of unrelated simselves running around with the last name Simself is terribly confusing) is going steady with Spock Leonard. Three guesses who that is, and the first two don’t count.

February Callender has taken up with Anton Pierce (Angel from Buffy). Considering that her mother January and new stepdad Matt Doctor are both newly-minted vampires and she spent about two hours as a vampire one night herself, her interest in a hot vampire lover is pretty understandable.

Did I mention that Anton is a Private Investigator? And Beatrice (Buffy) is the Slayer? Talk about fiction resembling… um, fiction.

Plum Marmalade bats for the girl’s team in this game, and is going with Wu’s teenage granddaughter Xia.

Simantics: Sim Lovin’

Welcome back to Simantics.

We begin with the amazing three-headed horse of Avalon.

It really hates Jorani Wu for some reason.

Considering it’s standing in her front yard.

Jorani is a Cambodian sim who I married to Zhan Wu’s Avalonian “nephew,” Zane Wu (read: the younger copy of Zhan Wu who I turned into an elf). They have made some very pretty babies. But that’s beside the point.

Speaking of Zhan Wu, I ended up with a fresh younger copy of him in Shang Simla at some point, and on this trip he became a paparazzi.

Here is the doppelgänger booing Veronica for woohooing in the academy shower with Charles.

Wu’s actual name as an EA-created stock character in World Aventures is Zhan Su. I misremembered it and used it wrong so many times that I just used MasterController to change name :).

Not sure if this was how the adventure mission was *supposed* to be, but Charles spent half a sim-day transporting messages between two members of the Order of the Resolute Fist who were in the same house. At the end of the mission, they walked into the same room and started talking to each other.

And the denizens of Shang Simla found both Charles and Veronica VERY attractive. This is Veronica with her Egyptian bathroom beau.

Right after woohooing with Veronica at the academy was probably the WRONG time for Charles to notice his attraction to a French tourist.

But the crowning moment was the special way he hit it off with the mummy.

Right before he killed him.

And, well, *SOB*.

Town Update:

Becky and Sebastian Hodgins gave birth to a little boy named Cliffton.

Becky Mentary Hodgins has discovered an amazing head for business. She’s bought up a bunch of local businesses and turned her family into real estate tycoons.

Echo Weaver just can’t get over Zhan Wu. I get a stalker message about her about every other day. She finally started dating a vampire named Ace Wilde, and they are now going steady — but she is STILL stalking Wu about as often as she goes out with Ace.

Let the trumpets blare from above! David Weaver-Doctor and Zuzu Weaver-Doctor have tied the knot! Zuzu seems to be my more emotionally stable simself. And she landed herself a Doctor Who :).

Lynn Sword had taken up with Doc U. Mentary! Maybe U can finally get on with his life after his ex remarried. Shortly after, they had a huge fight and broke up. Maybe her toddler son Hector had something to do with it.

Maya and Charmaine Ursine-Langerak have been having a rocky marriage, but now that they are expecting a child, maybe things will get better — or not.

Adam Bookabet and Brenna Ursine-Sample are enemies. Actually, everyone hates Brenna.

The Butterfield-Callenders adopted a boy child named Ignatio. Very shortly after, they both died and left him to their foster daughter Emma Voss to care for. I guess Tam and Martin Luther were too much in love to face life without the other.

Zhan Wu also adopted a boy child. And thus Twallan fixed my demographic gap pretty well without me having to do anything.

The cutest couple award goes to Franco and Ceridwen Bookabet. They are adorable and very, very into each other.

Nymeria Bookabet and Dog Bookabet have broken up!

Simantics: The Undersea World of Emma Voss

And here is our first true Simantics post for Avalon!

But first, in Sunset Valley, Forest had mixed feelings about aging up.

A fresh new way to look up a girl’s skirt.

The lawn gnome barely crawled across the desert wasteland of the dining table to find food.

A new form of seated meditation taught at Charles’s academy.

And here we have Emma Voss at a local fishing spot.

With the fish.

Uhhh….. below the fish?

And herein I discovered that I had set up the fishing spot lots wrong in Avalon. Hmmm.

Town Update:

Becky Mentary and Sebastian Hodgins planned for a long engagement, but they had to step the the pace and elope when Becky became unexpectedly pregnant. Becky now-Hodgins moved out of U’s house and in with Sebastian, taking both her children Ali (teen) and Arma (child) with her. She also changed their names. U was left with Weston, the love child who broke his marriage up to begin with. Poor U.

Ariel and David Doctor broke up!

Echo Weaver and Wu broke up!

Zuzu Weaver and Chris Doctor broke up!

Chris Doctor married Tara Crystal, a sim bin sim who I really love and will probably dump into other towns.

David Doctor proposed marriage to Zuzu! I guess I might have landed myself a David Tennant after all!

Ariel and Puzzle Hodgins started going steady. That’s almost… well, kind of ewww.

January Callender was turned into a creature of the night by Nesferatu.

Matt Doctor started going steady with January and moved in with her. Then Nesferatu turned him into a vampire too.

At this point, I’m going to crank the frequency of Twallan’s Vampires and Slayer personalities WAAAAY down. The teams seem to be well-matched and spend most evenings turning the same people into vampires and back again.

Simantics: A Playtest Tour of Avalon

This is my *drumroll* 200th post!

No really. Blogger said so.

I suppose it’s sort of fitting that a landmark post like this should be an introduction to the new world.

First, I introduce to you my Simselves:

Echo Weaver

Her traits are: Computer Whiz, Artistic, Childlike, Hotheaded, Charismatic
Lifetime Wish: Professional Author

Zuzu Weaver

Traits: Handy, Hopeless Romantic, Overemotional, Absent-Minded, Slob
Lifetime Wish: Creature-Robot Crossbreeder

All of those traits pretty much describe me :-p.

Why do I have two simselves, do you ask? Well, I put in a request with the DNA Request Team at thesims3.com, and while I was waiting, I decided to take a stab at it myself from the same photograph I gave them and compare the two. The first (Echo) is my effort and the second (Zuzu) is the DNA Team’s.

I think it’s striking how similar they are. People who know me in person say that Echo is a better likeness, though neither of them quite hit it. One friend said that she didn’t think that Echo looked like me but she could see a lot of similarity to my daughter, ha! Zuzu’s hair color is a very close hit to mine.

Oh, and who could forget our cat Mist

Who is Playful, Clueless, and Skittish, pretty much like her real life counterpart.

The Weavers are our playtest family for a brief tour of some Avalon public lots to be sure that the lots and Jynx rabbitholes are working properly.

First, let us see an aerial view of lovely Avalon Island.

I should have taken one after I added all the lots, but I forgot. When I can play again, I’ll see about taking one.

Here are the sisters Echo and Zuzu more appropriate for Avalon:

These are the custom content ear sliders. Shortly after this playtest, the Supernatural patch came out, and I had to redo everyone’s ears in the entire town. Sigh. I don’t know why Zuzu’s ears are quite so large, but they’re smaller now.

Together they have moved in to Caramel Cottage.

Echo’s first wish, being an Artist, is to take a class in painting. I send her over to Avalon’s primary school, Chivalric Preparatory.

This is the charming lot School “Not So New” from ModtheSims. Beside it, you can see Honeyduke’s Sweetshop, which I have set up as a hangout.

Echo wanders through the door to stand on the Jynx rug

and *poof*, she’s gone.

Meanwhile, some of the Marmalades dropped by to wander around the building.

The Marmalades get ears later. And eventually I notice that Grape Juice has a random hair of the wrong color and fix it. Sadly, it doesn’t happen during the playtest, so you’ll be stuck with brown and balding wherever you see him.

It occurs to me that this building has a lot of floors with a bunch of sort of random furniture on it. I’ve never really figured out the strategy that builders have in mind when they put together these complex furnished buildings to house rabbitholes. After this, I take out all the furniture and wall off the rest of the building. Then, I certainly hope, visitors will stay in the playground area outside, which is where you’d expect them to be outside of school hours.

*Poof* Echo’s done with her class.

She heads home. Muscadine Marmalade is pretty happy about it.

Meanwhile, Zuzu thinks about a career in crime.

She makes her way to the sinister Crypt Keeper’s Keep. Dark dealings are known to take place in the mausoleum there.

This doesn’t seem to be the right thing for her. Did you know that criminals do illegal things? She turns down the job offer and heads off to take a class in handiness.

At which point I get this message:

Huh what?

Seeing as Zuzu’s sitting alone with the cabbie and the only other sims she knows in town are her sister and cat, the implications are frightening. And Echo’s in a class right now. I’ve gotten this message a few times since then, and I’ve started to hypothesize that it’s actually being generated by some NPC action from Twallan’s StoryProgression. I should stop agreeing to dial it down and see what that does to some of the townie relationships.

Here we are at Tintgagel Fortress, home of the Avalon Home Guard.

Afterward, rather than head home, Zuzu decides to read a book on a random bookshelf placed for atmosphere. More stuff to strip from the buildings.

Alone in the house Mist is nervous.

She hides under the bed.

Echo emerges from the Mighty Pen Monastery, located in Camelot, where she just finished her writing class.

She heads from there

Across the courtyard to Camelot’s Great Hall, where she registers as a self-employed writer.

Across the street from Camelot, the Mentaries are visiting Faux Paw Dog Park, and Becky Mentary seems to be having some trouble.

I hope that doesn’t require surgery.

Whew!

With her is her ex-husband and roommate Doc U. Mentary and U’s son Weston.

They stop to watch some pigeons flying through the park.

Zuzu has finally remembered that her life’s ambition lies in the science career, so she takes a cab to the Sufficiently Advanced Technology Center.

Just a quick pop into the magic carpet in the lobby

And now she’s a bona fide Test Subject. Piece of cake.

Zuzu now wishes to learn to play the string bass, so she heads to Chipping Simsburg, the town market, where she can take a class at the Excalibur Uniplex.

She heads into the theater to take her class…

And I return to Echo to find her still inside Camelot’s Great Hall.

Nemo Hodgins seems to be keeping her company.

After a few more attempts to get her out the door, Echo is still route-failing, and now she is joined by Grape Juice Marmalade, who also can’t get out and really wants to pee.

We seem to have found City Hall California. You can drop in anytime you want, but you can never leave.

While Echo’s waiting for me to fix the door to City Hall, Zuzu finishes her class and is eager to jam, so I send her to The Moon nightclub.

I have expanded the little DJ booth to accommodate a full band, and I want to be sure it works.

Zuzu can’t find the bass.

Or the guitar.

Or the keyboard.

ARGH.

I finally get the bass shuffled around so that she can use it backwards.

But there’s no way to make the keyboard accessible, and anyway the guests are now trapped in the club.

Back to the drawing board on this place.

Mist is sick of being left alone in the house, and she makes her displeasure known.

Echo has escaped from City Hall California and decides to do some reading.

There’s a rusty bathtub on the grounds of a castle? Not sure I get that design logic. However, since I made the place Visitors Allowed, maybe I ought to actually provide real benches.

Echo heads to Monmouth Archive library, where she really hits it off with Ceridwen Bookabet.

Tam Butterfield-Callender drops by to peek in the windows, but apparently not to actually read.

Echo and Ceridwen both really like art! Yay! They should go to the Art Museum, which I have placed but neither named nor tested.

After this, Echo and Zuzu return home with bars in the red to pet their poor cat.

Town Update, from the playtest session and the first couple of days of actual play:

I wasn’t going to reveal the celebrities who I loaded into the town, but Ariel Hodgins is engaged to David Tennant! (The 10th Doctor from Doctor Who and my personal heartthrob. The three reboot doctors are currently living together as brothers Chris, David, and Matt Doctor.)

True to form, Ariel also moved out to her own place and adopted a cat she named Sebastian, which is making my life very confusing.

Becky Mentary immediately took up with the real Sebastian Hodgins. After a whirlwind courtship, the two quickly became engaged, though Becky was still living with her ex-husband U to help raise their children.

February Callender was also had the world’s shortest career as a Vampire. She was turned by the town Nesferatu and then defeated and turned back by the Slayer two sim-hours later.

Echo Weaver has fallen in love with and is now engaged to Zhan Wu. I guess she/I like older men, but how can I fault her taste??

Zuzu Weaver dated David Doctor for a while before he hooked up with Ariel and is currently going steady with his older brother Chris. Man, my simselves really are like me! But MAAAAN why didn’t she hold on to David while she had him??

Morand and Bella Bachelor Cagley gave birth to a son they named Freddy.

Laura and Alan Berg gave birth to a daughter Alexandria.

It’s one hour until Christmas as I post this, so MERRY CHRISTMAS if you celebrated it, and GREAT DAY if you don’t! Hee!

Simantics: The Last Sunset Valley Report

Wow, this is it for Simantics and town updates for Sunset Valley. Can you believe it?

A bit of Ada’s love life:

The pics from Ada and Alberto’s frolick in the hot tub were among the most tragic losses in my unsolved missing pictures fiasco. I couldn’t face posting without it, so I recreated the event on the night between when they got married and moved out.

It turned out to be the hardest-fought woohoo ever and took all night to get them to do the deed. I needed to max their motives with MasterController at least once per sim.

As soon as they got enough romantic interactions to get the Woohoo option, SOMEBODY would wander outside autonomously and be within line of sight.

Then they’d drop out of the whole romantic interaction progression, and I’d have to start over.

Then the GHOSTS started coming out.

ARGH.

It’s astonishing to me that they were able to do the nasty with so little issue the first time.

(singing) “Ohhh, you don’t want to see what’s going on here!”

Where do you THINK the baby ended up?

That whole scene with Adjo, Toya, and Karina showing up in the last post was pretty funny. Toya is Hotheaded, and so StoryProgression is always notifying me of some spat that she and Adjo had even though their relationship is very stable. So they show up, put the baby on the floor, and the next thing I know, I have the “something is definitely amiss!” SP popup. Adjo comes out of the dojo making all sorts of angry faces. Then he calmly walks back into the dojo and goes back to practicing.

I had’t realized that the fight thing was an interaction injection. Hah.

Susie failed to return to her grave one day and became really infatuated with Fabian.

She tried to get his attention by haunting the pancakes he just made.

Arlo Bunch Sharpe wandering around the house AGAIN. This lot used to be a park, and something clearly didn’t get reset when it was converted to residential. And it’s almost always Arlo.

“But how can we possibly read stories to two children in the SAME BED??”

Yep, you can’t. Zahra’s action with Sky was canceled.

Ghostly bedtime reading, woowoo!

“But I can’t cut the wedding cake! The wedding cake is in my way!”

Sims are awesome.

Alberto took a while to clue on the whole getting married thing.

“On the horizon, I see my mostly-naked wife!”

Shanni and Adjo looking very creepy while Ada gets married.

Charles writes Lancelot Sample a thank you note for a wedding gift he never received. Probably because Lance was long dead by the time Charles got married.

Townie/Cross-Pollination Update:

Morand and Bella Cagley are expecting! Glad they managed to get a kid in before aging up.

Evil didn’t turn out to be Faith Cagley’s type after all. After going out on a few dates with Sean Flynn, she abruptly announced her engagement to…*drumroll*… Willem Yo! Yeah, she likes old guys. But at least Willem got a girl in the end.

Ada and Alberto have replaced Holly and Michael Alto as the happiest couple in Simland. They’re so cute together! They’ve also adopted a black kitten named Jeremiah. I approve.

Speaking of Holly Alto, she has completed her descent into insanity by marrying her enemy, Mortimer Goth. She has left poor Michael and their daughter Araceli behind to move in with her new flame.

Brenna Ursine-Sample is following in Genvieve Goth’s footsteps as the most hated sim in Sunset Valley.

Sigh. The move is the post after next.

Simantics: Who Ya Gonna Call?

Occupational hazard of having a ghost sister.

Forest has his ghostly moments too (pretty sure this is Forest).

Charles seems to have completely missed the point of skinny dipping with his wife.

The best conversations in The Sims still seem to happen in bathrooms. (Note that Charles stinks.)

No cute caption. This was my first wild horse after installing Pets. It showed up at one of Veronica’s jobs, so the mysterious misty effect was rather nice. You can see the haunted trash can in the background.

And Veronica is the most rootin-tootin, physics stomin’ Ghostbuster in Simland.

Isn’t this what we all want to do to the ice cream truck?

Yeah Veronica. We know you’re awesome.

Town Update:

Shanni Crumplebottom has found new love with Jenna Yo, the first of Charmaine Ursine-Sample’s long list of broken hearts. Elderly Shanni appears to like them young.

Mortimer Goth immediately declared Jenna to be his enemy, despite getting plenty of action with Holly Alto (Oh, Holly). Is Mortimer still carrying a torch for Shanni after all these years? Let’s not go ask him.

And speaking of Charmaine, she went through with it! She and that Langerak girl are married.

Toya and Adjo had a bouncing baby girl named Karina. Adjo doesn’t bounce her as much as he used to because of his arthritis. That brings the Ursine-Sample total to 4 daughters, one sister/foster-daughter, and 1 measly son. Poor Darrin.

Now that her beloved Leighton is no more, Faith Cagley has taken up with Sean Flyn, the EMPEROR OF EVIL! Bwahaha!
