2.26 On the make

(Hey. It’s been a long time. Like, almost a year to the day since I last played Sims 3. About this time last year, I learned I was pregnant. Now I have a lovely 5-month-old baby girl. I recently got the Sims bug back, and I’m going to see if I can pick up where I left off. We’ll see.)

Life gets into a fresh routine for the Samples. There’s lots to teach the new new toddlers.

Cycl0n3 helps out when he can get away with it.

Zahra isn’t much of an extra mom, but she does take some time to get to know her new much younger siblings.

Shanni’s first word is, “dragon.”

I see an active fantasy life in her future.

Adjo, on the other hand seems to be the marrying type. Hmmm.

(Note from the future: Wow, the twins’ first words TOTALLY forecasted their adult personalities. Like, with eerie precision. Ha.)

Zahra’s school chum Fabian invites her to the park for a date.

They stay out late talking about the best sorts of geek stuff.

But in the end, perhaps they’re better off as friends.

Cycl0n3 is on the make, but the prospects are not great for a man in his… unique situation. One of his ranked chess partners turns out to be especially hot.

It’s not too hard to direct their meeting from business to pleasure. This is a party girl.

When the time is right, he makes his move.

Denied. Ouch. At least he beat her at chess.

At least Zahra and Cycl0n3 understand each other.

  1. Oh,wow! Congratulations! πŸ™‚
(Embarrassing to admit, but I just realised that the older posts are quite old. Didn't see that before…)
But the happier I am that I can still continue reading πŸ™‚

  2. I'm so glad you're reading the old posts! Thank you! My daughter is eight months old now, and I'm still playing, so hopefully no more year-long breaks ;).

Going back to look at this old post, the twins' first worlds TOTALLY forecasted their adult personalities. That's fabulous.

  3. Aww, real babies and sim babies. πŸ™‚ Congrats on becoming a mother… like a few years ago, lol.

Really interesting chapter, I can't wait to see what the twins get up to.

  4. This post is almost a year ago now. Our little girl was 16 months old on the 23rd of April. She's at an age where she kind of acts like a Sim toddler. Except that she runs around much more quickly :).

  5. I know it has been years now since your daughter was born, but it was so neat to open this post and see the announcement you made all those years ago. I took an almost two year break from Sims from about 2011 to 2013 due to a combination of technical issues with Sims 2 launcher and starting a new career that involved long commutes.

But anyway, I don't think I commented earlier that I love how you always record the first word of each sim toddler. It is so weird/funny/interesting that Shanni's and Adjo's correlated so closely with their future!

  6. Your daughter is so cute πŸ™‚ She's next to you in the avatar pic, right? Well, even though she'll be 5 this year, I thought it was right to congratulate you anyway! I'm happy you ditched playing the sims and rather dedicated all your time to your baby. When they're little, they grow up so fast! I'm about to be aunt this October and it makes me sad I am going to see the baby only for a day and then on Christmas. I guess he'll be a big boy by then πŸ˜€

Anyway, nice chapter! I'm curious about Shanni 's future!! Little dragon lady πŸ˜‰

  7. Thank you!

Yep, that's my kid at my birthday last year. She's older and cuter now, not that I am biased or anything. Our first year with her was very difficult, but we're long past that now. She becomes more wonderful as time goes on. I could go on to say all kinds of over-the-top things about how wonderful parenthood is for us.

Ha ha! Congratulations on your impending aunthood! By Christmas, the little fellow will only be three months old. That's still really tiny!
